2009 Random Subjects

Yes I am back. Are you ready for som more randon c**p that this section discusses. Personally I haven't changed much over the winter in fact I have noticed the older I am getting the worse random stuff comes into my mind.

2009 First Subject: Dave Hodgson Drving Skills:

Has anyone had the experience of been driven some where by Hodgy? if so please post your comments.

Now Hodgy driving is linked to laziness. Whilst driving he leasves breaking and slowing down to the last minute. In his mind there is no point slowing down you might as well get to the car in front at the same speed and then stop. In many ways this is funny the first view times but you do wonder if he will ever stop.

The other area is roundabouts. Slow steering round doesn't happen instead you get extreme turning at the last minute.

I do think he is safe but it can be a bit worrying at times.

Anyone got any words of help for young hodgy?

Ah Mr Flower very good to hear from you.

Gordon there is a big contradiction in your post....

You describe the driving actions of a lunatic then go on to say how safe the lad is.

I have had the misfortune of being in hodge's car on a few occasions now and I often think to myself whilst hurtling towards the rear of the car in front if I have done enough to make it to heaven. What would the obituaries say?

Two talented young sportsmen in their prime were fatally cut down years before their time?

Possible not.

Anyway I have become side tracked......I can point to a number of occasions when I have had near death experiences and most of them have been whilst a passenger to Mr Hodgson.

Last year whilst travelling back from Castleford we were in the outside lane of the motorway overtaking a lorry when hodge realised that he had missed his turn off ---or had he? Spinning the steering wheel onto full lock and crossing two lanes of traffic we shot towards the turn off which on my left seemed to have passed us by. Hodge forgetting he had just overtaken the lorry darting in front of it and across the chevrons and made the exit followed by loud honks of the horn from the shocked and probably stunned Truck driver - who in his 40 years experience on the road had never seen anything like it.

I do wonder when i will see him on Police Camera action. Perhaps someone could detail on here his incident with a mobile phone outside the Black Swan pub in the summer.

On saying all this I have seen Mr Muppet perform some pretty outrageous moves on the road.....

Poor quality start to 2009 gordy - getting very mainstream - you'll be doing top gear on tv and running for prime minister next.
