You must have hit a bit of form and won a couple of games while I've been away on the beach, as you seemed to be getting back to the cockyness that you showed a couple of years ago. Nice to know my presence is paying off Swanno 1.

After 4 games the standings are...

01. Black Swan A 109 points
02. Baildon A 90 points
03. Menston A 74 points

And after 5....

Swan 134 points, Baildon A ??? points, Menston A 78 points

Is it top two go up?

The team are doing well but i think i may have to up my game, i have lost 2 out of the first 5! Must remember not to give my opponents a 15-3 start that doesn't help.

How is Swan's season going at 'about' the half way stage- still romping everyone?

and Dacre,Wayside & Pateley?

Knaresborough started well but are starting to slip and are about mid table now after a poor result yesterday against oak where the first four were a 21-7 win and two double figure wins and a all-but loss. . . . .rest all lost Confused

Wayside still proving to be the strongest team in the league..

Well they would need to be having to take the weight of supporting every other team above them.... Wink

We take a small victory each week just from being able to field 10 which can be a rarity Crying or Very sad Shame as it spoils things for the opposition person turning up and not getting a game

Knaresborough have around 35 players who want to play the Vet's league each week but only 16 can get a game. Offer has gone to all those players to come along and get a guarenteed game each week.

Confused Seem's they would rather go without a game Laughing

Could be the last season Wayside has a Saturday team. Anyone recruiting next year Very Happy Very Happy Rolling Eyes

Still enjoying the AIre & Wharfe this season - we played at Myrtle Park on Sat and it was a really nice green - i can imagine when it is running it is pretty tricky.

We are still in contention for promotion as we are about 50 odd points clear at the top and a 23-7 win on Saturday will have helped us out.

We have however lost 2 games this year - so we will not go up as the unbeatables as one bowler described us!!!

Now 92 points clear with 6 to go so should be promoted.

Black Swan won the Aire Wharfe 4 man team event on Sunday beating Greenbottom, Idle, Farsley, Wharfemeadows and Grove Hill.

Two top saturday teams were not in it but we played 4 first division teams so we should be competitive next season in the upper half of first division.

Team was - Dave Rowson, Chaz Charleton, Allan Whittaker and Dave Hodgson.

Swan clinched the 2nd division title on Saturday.

We have enjoyed the league greatly - new greens, nice folk and a good atmosphere amongst our team.

Will be a lot harder next year but hopefully we can give it a good go at three league titles in a row. Looks like Skipton Devonshire are the team to beat but all other teams have some good quality bowlers.

Well done team.
