Nothing worse when having played well your opponent says sorry but he didnt play well.Never well bowled you were better than me today.
What are the best excuses you have heard from your opponent for losing.
Mine range from a new set of woods to shouldnt have played today had a bad back leg arm eye head anything to stop your opponent from saying yes you bowled better today than me.Well played!

Whilst living in Sheffield I played against the city's top park club at their green. A senior figure in Sheffield bowls was playing for them and he could be seen getting more and more frustrated as the game progressed. Just before the end of the game he finally blew up and ordered one of his teammates to remove the garish red jumper he was wearing. It wasn't just putting him off his game, he could also feel the onset of a migraine!! That has to be the daftest excuse I've ever heard.

He should have complained about the red jumper out of principle before the game commenced :D

Green is too fast, the green is too slow, too bumpy, not enough grass on it, you only want to play straight, you only want to play peg, you only play corners, your bowls are too weak, your bowls are too strong, I have not played for a week, you must be playing all the time. When all they really meant to say was YOU WERE JUST TOO GOOD FOR ME.
