That might be the case at the family club that you are part of Kenny boy, but I don't think it is the case everywhere else, lets face it though its only a game, and a gentle one at that, maybe if you were more insulting with your off the green comments and shouts, then you could get a hostile atmosphere, is that what you really want?
You basically,are the most polite man I have ever met and you are a credit to your primary school teachers for letting you be a prefect and then on to Head Boy!

Don't know what you mean Ken by too friendly.
Play hard ..give nothing away.. do you very best but respect your opponent.
You have to learn to lose in any sport to be a winner.
I have some great friends in Crown Green bowling..just ask Bobby
we've just had an affair!!
But on the green you do you damnest and have a pint afterwards.

No No 1 the leader of the NYCC was not there in the Whip that evening but I am sure he would have caused a scene if he was.
Pretty sure he's in the away team for warringto so you tad and swannies better keep him under control

So Ken thinks Harrogate Bowling is too friendly.
Maybe Ken you should try stirring it up by making some funny supportive comments round the green in a loud voice.

or you could get some fire breathing DRAGONS to guard the DRAGON
then bowling in harrogate might just come under the term "unfriendly"
