Having been on a Penguin raiding party to the Dragon's den this evening, the Penquin's adapted well to the condition's and came away with a favourable result against a very competitive Dragon. The evening was enjoyable, the green ran well, the sport was excellent.
But alas some Senior Full Bred Penguins were very distressed to hear about the disrespect directed at the Almscliffe Bowling Club from one of our own younger Penguin brothers. The Penguin brother in question should count himself fortunate to have qualified for a bowling merit on a landscape he knows well.
But it appears that the New Breed Coricus may have disrespected the Almscliffe Bowling Club.
May I on behalf of the Penguin fraternity thank the Almscliffe Bowling Club for hosting this bowling event on Sunday afternoon, many Penquins will descend and compete on your green with great pride and contest the annual Pairs Merit final.
Our great game is a game of contrasting skills on very different surfaces, so True Penguins look forward to playing on any surface. Penguins are a very adaptable species.
Sunday will be a great day, both my bowling partner, The Lesser Feathered Cider Slurping Rowsicus and I are looking forward to playing The Pink Panther and his partner The Bushy Tailed One who perform on The Worsnop Glazier, a tricky place if ever there was one. We hope to see some of The Fashionable Pink Attire on Sunday.
I hope all players and spectators have a great day and the best team on the day will win.
A highlight of the day for all Penguins will be the appearance of the very rare White Feathered Wacky Hodge Penguin, a very disrespectful Penguin, who will hopefully over the coming months (with help from his friend, The Lesser Speckled Respectful Heb ) strive to again become one of the fold. The Wacky is a kind hearted confused soul who has lost his way, but with guidance he will hopefully find the right path.
