Tip #2 for 2009

Postby swanno1 on Mon Jul 06, 2009 10:51 pm

I have revised one of my earlier tips.....

If you are playing up to the head and missing end after end then perhaps its not the correct shot to make. Analyse the head what is the best percentage shot? You could try turning over or sometimes it is worth trying to bowl a dead-un to win the end, if you are good enough (perhaps i am not!) then you can beat any wood. :D

A tip that a bowler called Ernest Lundy gave me many years ago was as follows
When you score try and put 2 on the card. When you go down always try and go down only 1
Simple tip and very obvious but think about it and its very true

Ernest is an ex county bowler and has written many books on the subject of bowling. He is well respected througout the bowling world and anybody who is anybody know him

I played Ernest a few years ago now on Swan when I was still considered an up and coming young bowler...ha-ha....

Anyway he taught me a bowling lesson that day, wouldn't have liked to play him when he was in his prime.

But totally right Ken, it is a good tip.
