Of all the Harrogate League games I've played in up to press this by far was the best for banter. Certainly an element of friendly rivalry amongst the youth of the two sides, with some of the older end chipping in too (mainly Ken gave us some grief). Unfortunately all the younger end avoided each other, but this helped create an atmosphere as practically every bowl was jeered from the opponents. Must have been Dragons biggest support as the second team showed up after their opponents failed to arrive for their league match. All in all a good game, with the goodies just missing out on the aggregate by 5 chalks, with 4 winners apiece.

Div 5 Swan 6 Almscliffe 4

Four winners a piece and Almscliffe did well to win three close games 18,19 and 20.

Excellent game and left it all in the balance for next week - Swan 4 ahead but away to third placed bardsey whilst almscliffe are at home to wayside.

Good atmosphere and crowd just missed Brigzi to liven it up still further.
