For the 3rd and final time, congratulations Garforth, best team in the league wins, cant say fairer than that.

Magnets 7-3 Chapel Street

The only thing left to be decided is the fate of Magnets and Bardsey, both are away for there last match, Magnets at Garforth and Bardsey at Chapel St, the pressures on.

I am tipping Magnets to survive.

Cheers, Ricky, I think you will finish above whitkirk now as they have given up, even with one game to go, after we beat them on in their own backyard, it was very satisfying to hear a comment from young Mr Farrah saying "we wern't bothered tonight as we knew we couldn't win the league!", the same fellow that when he was given his card and saw that he had drawn Lisa said "I have an easy draw tonight!", famous last words as Lisa is one of the best lady bolwers around no matter where you play her,she is not to be taken lightly, he lost of course! But he wasn't bothered so there is very little credit for Lisa at all! Just the satisfaction of beating a team that have so many "BAD LOSERS".

Dave Mac, Gary Wike and Mick Baily were the only whitkirk players to come away with any credit as they were the only ones to have any thing decent to say and congratulate all the Garforth players individually in wrapping up the league with one game to go. Mind you I have to say, my opponent Sarah Carroll was unwell and had a really bad cough that got worse throughout the game and seemed to throw up in the bushes as we completed our game and walked off the green, so I put that down to not being offered a drink and nothing else!

Overall, however, Whitkirk was a lovely setting to win the league, all the team at Garforth took more satisfaction that night than at any point in the last few years.

Come on Swan finish with a great result this week.

All I am saying is its usually better to accept victory with some degree of humility rather than Barracking the individuals involved on this thread.

Everybody wants to win the league otherwise they wouldn't enter it Mr Tupper/LoneRanger/Robinhoodie/kingpin  .....perhaps in the heat of the moment certain individuals made silly comments regarding not wanting to win the league, I am sure they didn't mean it Mr Tupper.

I am just trying to help you here Mr Tupper, you don't want to give your new club a bad name, something you know all too well

I back Smithy all the way on this.It is a strange one this.Like him I have bowled for years in all league and at all levels and never had any problems. Then you become aware of unpleasantness and it seems to get to you. However all you can do is get on with it beat the team and win your game. This is a free forum and if Smithy wants to air his views then so be it.It certainly seems to wind a few of you up.Remember you will all have to face him shortly so be very careful

Hilarious Scooby, I nearly wet myself laughing when you said "I am sure they didn't mean it".

You forget the most unbelievable and astonshing moment of bad sportsmanship by whitkirk at Chapel Street last year, come on lad, get yourself a back bone!

Please don't try and help me as I am big boy now and can look after myself, I have and continue to take pleanty of shite, so I will continue to say things how they are no matter what.

I am what I am David and thats that.

For those who dont know, Garforth 8-2 Magnets.

So Bardsey stay up, and unlucky to Magnets.

Next year will hopefully be stronger with rumours that the top teams have recruited for next year already but only time will tell.

Been a very good year for Garforth winning the Richardson Trophy and the League so well done to Rafa and the team.

On a finally note id just like to congratulate Graham Franklin for winning the Tadcaster Averages, a great player and very modest with it !!
