Well done Garforth.A brilliant result for you.Lets hope you go on and win the league. It was a pleasure to bowl against you especially after the visit from Twitkirk the previous week where there were one or two idiots who not only had no idea of the laws of the game but shouted out like little school girls
Good luck in your remaining games and carry on showing how the game should be played with a marvellous attitude to the game .That especially goes to my mate Smithy

Whikirk 9-1 Xgates

I also believe it might have been Chapel 7-3 Scholes but don't quote me on that.

I think the top of the league looks like this...

1. Garforth 95
2. Whitkirk 90
3. Swan 83

Sorry I haven't listed any other teams, only limited results known from last night.

Next week sees Garforth host Bardsey and Whitkirk travel to the Swan.

PS. Ken if one or two people annoyed you then why are you calling the whole team and club Twitkirk? I don't recall having any issues in my game against Maurice when we visited the Dragon and I don't recall having any disputes with you. I think you had your say on the subject a couple of weeks ago and why does it need recycling.

Good one gherkin - recycling - is that a "talking rubbish" link.

i think Mr Tupper started the Twitkirk references and Mr Chicken has now joined his ranks.

Sure KC will discuss in person with the indiviudals concerned.

I would say personally never heard anything more than friendly good humoured banter from you guys.

Cheers Dave. In fairness to Mr Tupper he has contacted me and agreed Twitkirk is inappropriate and hasn't used it since then.
See you on Thursday!

I can confirm the chapel st beat scholes 7-3 in a friendly encounter.

I dont like to post scores but must mention the World Class performance from Mr Consistant Ian Howard. Having recovered from his only defeat of the season at the Rec he put Mr Walker to the sword 21-6. You had to be there to see it, without a doubt, the best player in Leeds. That lucky jack had the pleasure of hugging Ians bowls every single end.

Surely the mighty chapel are safe for this year.

Aye Ian Howard is a class act, good to have him playing in the Tad League. A gentleman on and off the green also.

Garforth are at Whitkirk tonight in the last game but one of the season, I am really looking forward to a friendly welcome and a laugh and a joke or two with our opponents.
