We should all bear in mind that Junior Bowlers do use this Forum.
If anyone posts anything we believe to be unsuitable, or link to any other site showing material that is unsuitable, then those references will be removed.
We would ask members not to start a 'chase' around the forum whereby they re-add their comments or links etc. We are not prudes or killjoys, but as we are all aware that minors use the site then it is a responsibility we all hold and share.
On a similar vain, it's a fun place and I'm sure there will be a wide range of posts. There will be the serious and informative posts, the fun posts, and being a site full of Yorkshire Bowlers I'm sure banter will be rife as well as one or two disagreements.
Should anything be deemed plain offensive, or should we receive a complaint about comments made then these will need to be removed.

I think you and Mr Rowson ought to get your priciples right before you start having a go at fun loving forumists like me.
The video of the female conjurer who strips has been on the Beighton bowler site for ages without their thousands of viewers complaining because it is part of the real world. Nudity is on the tv all day every day as that is the sad world we live in.
The reality is that the really obusive and sick offensive thing that you both have missed is that you are allowing a perverted name to appear regularly on this site.
I refer of course to Bobby Tupper.
One doesn't have to be a magician to realise that the children watching this site are being cojoled into reading about sexual activities.
Who's the villain now Mr Moderators???????

Nowt sad about it Pelican in the right place. Assume you missed the end of the video !
True missed the name - Pelican with an eagle eye for fine detail. Could've been worse.
As Ian sed not trying to spoil the fun but kids do use the forum.

Flippin Heck big bird, what have I done to you, you are being rather extreme in your comments about my tongue in cheek forum nick name, I have not been rude or intend to be, its just a bit of fun.
May I suggest that you take zorro's offer of letting him look at the material you intend to post, before you post them, its no one elses fault that you had it taken off, so stop involving other people, namely ME!!!!!!!
Fly away and get some fish
Love Bobby Tupper (always a swannie)

I have no intention of letting anyone vet what I post as I am an incredibly intelligent person who knows what is right and wrong.
Unfortunately the Harrogate Web site is extremely careful of content matter unlike our national press, television and other web sites.
I have great respect for Zorro and IANK and will ensure it does not happen again.
As for your comments Tupper perhaps you have got your wires crossed.
I WILL involve you if you continue to use the perverse name you have which may sound tongue in cheek to you but is very offensive to all the parents of the children who are reading this site.
I suggest you reconsider the nickname you have chosen or simply remove it ...AND POSSIBLY YOURSELF.

OOOOOOOOohhhhhhhhhh, Mr Incredibly inteligent, I am not perverse and suely you as a MASTERMIND can tell the difference between a little bit of tongue in cheek and pornagraphic video, this is not the national press or national media, this is a bowls site with good people running it and mainly on it, if you don't like it then simply go away and take your super itelligent brain with it, as i think you are above everyone else, it is not up to you to decide what go's on this site, it is the moderators job, I suggest you start up a alternative site if you want to see naked Ladies. If the moderators think i have a offensive name then i will change it, maybe you should change yours to Mr Touchy.
I don't think you meant to be funny but you have made me giggle.
All my Love Bobby Tupper, (always a swannie)

Nice one Bill
Sounds like you talk common sense when it comes good clean fun.
Hoodie obviously knows Tupper and thinks he can be a smart arse with sarcastic comments.
Don't worry Bill Have- discussed this at the office and everone agrees that you are spot on with your comments.
Let's hope the Moderators do something to acknowledge your sound advice.

Come on everyone let's calm down.
I know Pelican Bill, he's an OK guy with kids and is VERY intelligent.
Bobby-Hoody -let's let it lie and get on with life in the forum for fun.
Bill- let sleeping dogs lie and don't change 'cos you are a diamond really.
Perhaps Bobby you could re-register to avoid any further trouble..just give it a thought.
Hey, and Hoody good luck for the 2008 season and let's include EVERBODY in that.

I agree with the Lone Ranger.
No one said Pelican Bill was a very naughty bird and grateful that he will adhere to our informal site policy.
If Bobby does amend his login I hope he doesnt go for the "porkys" replacement. _________________ Zorro - the old codger

Hi Pelican,
No upset meant, and certainly not looking to supress anyone's fun.
It was just a generalisation really and an attempt to explain why posts\links may be removed.
It was a funny video and not offensive at all (there is nudity however).
The problem was, that whilst Corry's post about minors being present was intended as tongue in cheek (correct me if I'm wrong), he inadvertantly raised it as a point and issue (which I thought couldn't be ignored).
I'm happy letting the forum look after itself. What I would like to avoid is anybody accosting me around the green complaining that 'Your Forum has said such and such about me' and such like. Users who have identified themselves will likely get their posts left as they can bear the brunt of complaints directly, anonymous people are more inclined to get their posts removed as those then come back on me. We all want an easy life afterall
I would hope (and don't intend too), not to interfere with people's posts, but I will do if there are complaints made out of fairness to everyone.
Hope this help Bill?
Ta
IanK

I have been on with this name for quite a while and nothing has been said, should I really change it in order to satisfy a bloke that got a bit childish? It hasn't been a issue before, if requested though I will have no worries about doing so, It was only a bit of fun for gods sake!
Love always, Bobby Tupper. (always a swannie).

Don't think Bill was childish Bobby just being fair when the moderators
said his post was offensive.
If your conscience says your nick name is offensive, as many people do, then change it.
Otherwise live with it and accept what might come your way from other forum members who are offended.
Not all forums are the same.
